Well there are a lot of you wanting a park for older children. You have not said what area so that I could
direct you to somewhere local. At the moment there is not any new money for parks. We had to cancel the
ones we had in the pipeline organised by groundwork because the council has to find millions of pounds
    over the next few years.

This is not quite true. the Denes has equipment for older children, West park has a brilliant new play area which is very grown up. there should be stuff for older ones in all the parks. North park has a seating area for teenageers.

I think every park should have an area for older children, This would be something I would look to find the funding for.

We do have parks in Darlington that have equipment for older children but you may be right that we don’t have enough. We should have equipment for all ages in our parks unfortunately we have had to scrap some of our plans due to the new Governments cuts.
