I certainly do. I have three of my own Emma, Jonnie and Mikey and my grandson Josh.
Chair of Governors at Northwood School and they seem to like me!

I would like to think I can get along with children but as a teacher I get the impression some children think I am nice, some think I am strange and others don’t like me. I think I could say I enjoy being with children as they are so interesting.

I beleive that the children in my class enjoy my lessons. My daughter is alway happy to see me so I must get along with children pretty well.

Erm I get along with children as much as most parents! However I love this competition because it reminded me how clever, funny and honest young people are. Young people often get a bad press because of a minority.

I think I do get along with children. I see two of my grandchildren everyday – my granddaughter is 10 and my grandson is 9. They love staying with us. I also see my other granddaughter regularly. I think I can usually find the right sort of approach but I don’t really see ‘young people’ as separate, I don’t think there is a ‘generation gap’ these days.

.Yes I get along with children better than I do with most adults. I have two kids, an eight year old daughter and a seventeen year old son and I love every minute that I spend with them. I have worked with primary school children on a voluntary basis in a tough school near Sunderland for the past eight years, so I guess that you could say that I love working with kids. As a bloke I haven’t really ever grown up myself!
