I would like people to co-operate with each other instead of competing with each other. In school there is a lot of emphasis on being kind to each other and onsiderate and to work as a team with other people, and then in the adult world there is an awful lot of competition and inequality. So I would like to see that basic change of attitude. Societies where people are not so competitive, tend to be more content and differences between rich and poor are not so great.

One person can make a difference but many people do! In an ideal world there would be world wide liberal democracy, no dictators or ‘juntas’ telling the people what to do. There would be a populist vote for the political party of the people’s choice, everyone would have to vote when eligible and then true democracy would reign. Impossible or what?

If I could change anything in the world I would change the poverty and hunger that affects millions of people around the world everyday. I would want it to disappear.

I know it may sound a bit cheesy but if I could change anything about our world it would be to make it a more peaceful place. There are so many needless wars going on in the world at the moment and a lot of innocent people are being killed. I believe that if the human race could learn to respect each others different cultures and religions then we could all live in a much happier place. Many Governments around the world spend billions of pounds on going to war, if we could only learn how to respect each other then this money could be used to improve the lives of millions of people
