Lock them up:) No really I think education about the damage would be food, show kids blck goo from lungs and a shrivelled liver from drink. I would like to see it become uncool to drink and smoke.
Hi Ollie I am just a councillor but we have had meetings to talk about drinking and smoking. Years ago before the last government made it illegal to smoke inside all public places we stopped people smoking in all council buildings like the dolphin, civic theatre and the arts centre. We wanted to show how wrong it was to smoke. People drinking too much has started to be a serious culture issue. I agree with Dot that we should film those people falling over drunk in the street and show it back to them. Perhaps that may embarrass them enough to give up. The general idea at the moment is to make it expensive like they did with cigarettes.
