Question: Do you think it fair that if we go to uni we will leave with a debt of £30,000 !!!! ???? do any of you go to uni ????

    I certainly do not think it is fair. I never agreed to tuition fees in the first place. If I had been an MP at the time I would have voted against it. It is bad enough having to pay more than 6,000 now for three years for them to now increase it to 30,000 max now….That is just the tuiton fees not the living costs…. Yes I graduated last yeat from Northumbria Uni got a BA (hons) degree in politics.

    No I don’t think that it’s fair at all, I think that if a students family are wealthy enough then they should contribute something towards the cost of uni, but generally speaking I think that the taxpayer should cover it. My son is seventeen and will leave college next year, he and many of his friends have been put off the idea of going to university because of the cost and this government seems to have plans to put the cost up even higher! I’m afraid that I didn’t go to university.

    No its not fair but someone has to pay for the universities. You should only go to uni if it leads to a clear career path that will enable you to pay back your loan. I didn’t go to uni and I don’t think it is right for everyone and not going should not stop someone from achieving their full potential.
