I know there was alot of information about things that happened this summer but it looks like alot of peopel did not hear about it. I suggest we look at asking every young person how you would like to hear about these things, Fliers through the door, websites, links to facebook and twitter. These need to be explored. Do you think you would have heard about things if we used these methods?

I think we do tell you what is going on. Councillors deliver newsletters to every house, sometimes every month. There is the Town Crier magazine and the Northern Echo and the free papers with Council news too. Maybe in your house these get thrown in the bin before you see them? But you have to take an interest, and you have to ask – keep us up to the mark, keep asking questions like this one.

Where do you think we are failing you? I know that the Northern Echo and Darlington and Stockton Times are full of stuff that is happening and if they dont get it then the Town Crier picks up what is left. Our web pages carry lots of information, if you look at the moment you will se the advert for the mayors ball and other kinds of news. The town hall has about 200 leaflets about events as does the dolphin centre, the arts centre, head of steam and the civic theatre.
