I could not increase the area but I do know that there was a project to increase the things to do in the park but the Council cut that budget in June. I do know Hurworth was on thet project. I would campaign for funding to try and get the project up and running again.

I don’t know the area is question in detail However, in general, I don’t know if formal parks are what people want nowadays. They have their place (South Park is wonderful), but perhaps what we need is safe open spaces.

I would love to build bigger and better parks in all parts of Darlington and the surrounding villages. Unfortunately we have very little money at the moment and we are going to have to fight hard to keep the parks that we already have.
