    I am not sure. If it does get cut, which would be a shame, I am sure they need to provide an alternative. I think it would be easier though if they just reviewed to find ways to reduce the cost rather cut it.

    Thanks for your question, sorry, this is going to look like a cop out, I’m afraid, but I really don’t know – Connexions is a national scheme, funded in part by the Council – but as you have probably realised by now, there are to be cuts in almost all budgets, and nothing at the moment is ruled in or out by Darlington Borough Council until we get the details of how much money we will get from the government. The council does run schemes as does the Job Centre, dealing with youth employment in various ways.

    Connexions has been a great facility in helping to give careers advice to young people and would be a great loss to those who really need and use it. I dont know what the future is going to be indeed if there is anything planned at all. This is something I need to consult on and get back to you Ben.
