The reason I went to University was to get a political degree (and I did!) was because I wanted to be an MP. Since my mother in law came to live with us I have had to put this on hold as she needs a lot of caring. In the past few years I have been shortlisted at Durham City, Newcastle Central, Sunderland Central, Washington East, Durham North, Normanton , Scarborough and Whitby and a few others. It is very hard work trying to get elected but maybe some day!
I would like to do a really good job as a councillor and get re-elected next year. I want to support my daughter in her ambition to have a wild cat sanctuary in the North East.
I would also like to be a size 10 again and run the 100 metres in 10 secs but those are real dreams thet will stay dreams (lol)

i’m hoping to be re-elected next year. After four more years on the Council after that i will probably retire and try to write a novel!

I have no major plans at the minute – just looking forward to half term and my holiday to Italy.
