I have had some great experiences as a councillor and I have been involved in some big decisions, but it isn’t always the big things that give you the most satisfaction. I once helped an old lady in my ward to get the council to clean up the area around her house, she was so pleased with what I had done for her that she sent me a wonderful thank you letter. I still have that letter and it means a lot to me.
