I have been involved with quite a few of the big projects in Darlington, but one of my earliest and most enjoyable was being part of the team that renovated the South Park.
When I had the portfolio for Leisure in Darlington there were big changes in and around Darlington.
The Dolphin centre was renovated so was the Arts Centre, The South Park, Eastbourne Sports complex, The new West Park. In my ward there was a new school, community centre, CCTV, road safety measures, doorstep green and home zone. Around the town we have a new school at Northwood Primary an eco friendly school. New school at Alderman Leach, Middleton St George, St Aidans, refurbishment at Hummersknot and Carmel. There is probably so much more but enough for now….
