I am afraid that the buses belong to a private company and we do not decide the bus timetable. We do subsidise
certain routes but because of cutbacks that may have to change too. Terrible times.
Unfortunately Darlington Council doesn’t have much control over the bus companies. We do pay extra for the companies to put buses on the quieter less profitable routes but that may come to an end soon due to Government cut backs.
I too would like to see more buses going to the places we need to go, I would also loke to see them cheaper. The best way to do that is to have two or three bus companies in competition for the services in Darlington not just Arriva.
The bus services are run by a private company, Arriva and the council has little influence over what service they provide. I hope you have all the timetable information and everything? If buses are late, complain!!!
