Hurworth is a brilliant school but it is in desperate need of a re-vamp, to be honest what you need is a brand new school. I will do as much as I possibly can to help the school but this government isn’t making things easy for us!
No unfortunately that is much too big a job for a youth champion. I would of course support the council to access any funds it can to achieve this. The council chamber is united in its desire to see Hurworth, Longfield and Branksome revamped and we will all work together on this where possible. Is what I can promise is that I will continue to work to make sure that what goes on in all our schools is good and that you are all receiving the education that will help you to fulfil your potential.
Buildings don’t make excellent education, people do.
