Trashing parks and houses is a criminal offence and when caught could have a criminal or custodial record. When I sit on the bench in magistrates youth court I always talk to the young people accused about why they have commited these crimes. I agree there have been reasons and to some people reasonable ones like not having a mam or dad to teach them the rights and wrongs in society. Being bored is no reason to take drugs or smoke or drink they only make you a different person because you cannot control your emotions. It is not entertaining to smash up some old lady;s house just to have a laugh would you laugh if it were your nana’s or grandads house. There are loads of activities after school without being criminal http://www.clicktodo.co.uk

A lot of young people get bored and fed up but the majority of them don’t start smashing things up and getting into trouble. I don’t think that having nothing to do is the main reason for a lot of young people getting into bad ways, many of these children come from tough backgrounds where parents have spent very little time with them showing them what is wrong and what is right. I agree that young people need more exciting things to do in their spare time but there’s always going to be a few that will still cause problems.

There are loads of things to do, do some research and you will be surprised http://www.clicktodo.co.uk oh and yes thinking that you are bored because you won’t think for yourself is no excuse for criminal behaviour!
