Depends on what you think is best. Post house wines is the best small shop area in town, South park the best park, I think the Civic is really great for getting really good plays. So I have picked three bests for different reasons.
It depends what you mean. I think the best area is where you feel happiest, where your friends and family are. My ‘best area’ is Stanhope Green (Park). I have lived near it since 1967 and I love it.
I think the show case for Darlington is the Town Centre a really beautiful place. The buildings, the secret lanes and yards and the lovely flowers enhance our really lovely town.
I like where I live near Conniscliffe Road – if I had to choose somewhere to visit in Darlington it would be South Park and my favourite walk that I only recently discovered is along the Skerne from Haughton under the viaduct bridge its like countryside in the middle of the town.
