I have seen a few famous people at gigs but I haven’t really met any. I once visited Nelson Mandellas cell in his old prison in Cape Town, thankfully he wasn’t still in it because they released him and closed the prison a few years earlier! He is one of my all time heroes and if that is as close as I am ever going to get to him then I can live with that.

I have met several famous people but I don’t know if you know them. Ken Dodd, Matthew Kelly, Steve Cram, Tony Blair, Nick Clegg, Vince Cable, Coleen Nolan, David Essex, and Rolf Harris to name some. Have you met anyone famous.

Margaret Thatcher at a reception for former Secretaries of State for Education and she was much smaller than I thought she would be!

I once shook hands with Tony Blair. I used to know Alan Milburn quite well when he was our M.P.
I also met David Mach, you may not know of him but he is a famous sculptor who designed ‘Train’ – the bridk train and Morrisons.

Nelson Mandela was so lovely and what a handshake, didnt want to wash it afterwards.
