My political views are different from the other councillors.
I think the thing I can offer is that I am a mother of a teenager and I often listen to what she has to say. So I think I understand some of the issues that affect young people. Also being a supply teacher I go to many different schools and I see and hear many different points of view. I always try to understand what a young person has to offer and use that knowledge to help if needed. Not all young people want an adults help.

Well I’m a bloke for a start and I would hope that the differences are obvious! On a more serious note I believe that everyone is an individual with their own views and beliefs. All I can say is that I love living in Darlo and I have never had any plans to live anywhere else, I have been lucky enough to visit many parts of the world but sunny old Darlo will always be home to me.

I’m only 32 and have a young daughter. As a teacher I want young people to enjoy growing up and as a resident of Darlington I it to be a great place to live.

I don’t think I’m better than any of the other candidates, I just think that different things will appeal to different young people who are going to vote. Some of you will not want anyone my age, some will not want a Labour party councillor and so on. So, all I can do is answer your questions as honestly as possible and leave it up to you. That’s democracy.
