I lived in Avon Road Hurworth Place from 1981 until 1987 and my daughter used to go to nursery classes at
the Grange and she went to the Primary school when Mrs Whittam then Trevor Drury were Head Teachers.
Mr and Mrs Graham were there then as well. We still have Dr Williams, Bagshaw and McNaughton Jones as our doctors.
Have family there and we loved living there!

Yes I have been to Hurworth. I was at the school last year. I was at the Grange one saturday in July as my daughter is in the School of Rock and Pop and they did a concert there to raise some money for charity. My osteopath is in Hurworth so I go there to get my bones cracked.

If you mean Hurworth school then I’m afraid to say that I haven’t although I do drive past it regularly and many of my friends used to go there years ago. I do know the village very well and spent a lot of time there with my friends when I was younger. Years later I became friends with Ian Fletcher who used to do a fantastic job running the Grange, sadly Ian died a few years ago and I’m sure that many people in the village miss his enthusiasm and hard work.
