I don’t like the expression you use. it shows a level of intolerance. The travelling community is an interesting part of Darlington. Some of them have houses and live here part of the year. Some have businesses and contribute to our local economy. It is important that you don’t damn an entire group of people without finding out about them first.
Why, do they bother you? At the moment we would be breaking the law if we tried to get rid of them. they do have rights to settle here if they want to. In fact the Governement in 2006 said Darlington should make space for more to come and live hear. I do know some very nice travellers and they don’t cause any bother. I would not like to get rid of them.
